Alcúdia

The city of Alcúdia has a magnific city wall which was built in the 1300´s. It was built after the Spanish people had conquered the island. There are a total of 26 towers and several gates in the wall. In Alcúdia you can see the only roman theatre still preserved on the island. It is also the smallest one preserved in all of Spain. On occasions concerts are still held here and the theatre holds about 2000 people. If you are in Alcúdia you can also take the opportunity to visit other places such as Pollenca which is another old city or why not visit the large and very popular Dragon Caves. Alcúdia also has long nice beaches and there are many stores for those who want to shop and many nice restaurants for those who are hungry.
